Tiger Woods Cleared to Chip and Pitch by Doctor

Don’t call it a comeback, but at least it is a start. Tiger Woods took to social media on Thursday afternoon to let the public know that not only is he upright, but he’s got the doctor’s approval to start working on his short game.

The 14-time major winner is seen wearing a cut-off shirt in this Konica Minolta Biz Hub Swing Vision camera-like slow motion clip of him nipping a pitch shot off of notoriously difficult Bermuda turf. Judging by the contact, it appears the 41-year-old still knows how to chip a golf ball.

Woods has not hit a competitive shot since withdrawing from the Omega Dubai Desert Classic in February and has only played in one official PGA Tour event over the last two years, which was a missed cut at the Farmers Insurance Open in January.

While it’s only a pitch shot, it’s one of the first steps to playing golf competitively again.
