Tiger’s Golf Bag Sells For Nearly $20,000

What turned out to be the final edition of the Quicken Loans National benefitting the TGR Foundation two weeks ago went out with a charitable bang thanks to a one-of-a-kind auction and a personalized message from Tiger Woods.

Embracing the tournament’s military tribute, Monster Energy, one of Woods’ sponsors designed a special camouflage-laden staff bag that Woods used during competition on Saturday and Sunday of the Quicken Loans National. The bag sold on Charity Buzz for $19,000, which will benefit the TGR Foundation.

The winner of the auction received the bag autographed and with a personalized message from Tiger. The listing was clear to point out that Woods’ golf clubs would not be included.

This is just the latest example, along with CBS’s viewership of golf events being up 13% over last year, of Woods’ continued positive impact on the game and its initiatives. Woods will tee it up next at the Open Championship at Carnoustie a week from Thursday.
