Tiger’s Hilarious Response To $85K Masters Bet Question

No one has bet as heavily on Tiger Woods as Tiger Woods has, but a Wisconsin man came close earlier this year when he took a flier on Woods to win the Masters at 14-1.

Placing an $85,000 wager at the SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.s, Adducci cashed $1.19 million, which equated to the largest payout the William Hill-run book had made on a single golf bet.

With Woods not turning up at any PGA Tour events between the Masters win and the PGA Championship last week, he wasn’t available to be asked publicly his thoughts on the wager in a non-major setting.

Luckily for Tiger fans everywhere, professional poker player Adam Weinraub was able to ask Woods the hard-hitting question everyone wanted to know the answer to at a recent private clinic.

“Tiger, what do you think about the guy who bet $85,000 for you to win the Masters?” Weinraub asked.

Woods, still working on his routine, responded as he stood over the ball, “F—ing good bet.”

Woods hit his shot and smiled back at the crowd as he prepped to hit another ball.

“He’s a dumbass for the grand slam part, though,” Woods said referencing the $100,000 wager Adducci placed on Woods to complete the career grand slam.

While Woods missed the cut at the PGA Championship last week, he won’t make the same mistakes he made heading to Bethpage Black by not competing between major championships.

On Thursday, Woods confirmed that he will be playing in next week’s Memorial Tournament before taking a week off ahead of the U.S. Open, which will be held at Pebble Beach from June 13 to June 16.
