Kevin Tway came from behind to defeat Ryan Moore and Brandt Snedeker in a three-hole playoff to claim his first PGA Tour victory at the Safeway Open on Sunday. Tway shot rounds of 68-67-68-71 to post 14-under par.
A third consecutive birdie on the third playoff hole was enough to defeat Moore and claim the title.

A long hitter in his own right, Tway’s short game was his salvation this week in Napa. Ranking seventh in strokes gained: around the green and picking up nearly four strokes on the field average, Tway was able to get up and down 80% of the time, which was the best scrambling percentage in the field.
