Tools: Mitchell’s Breakthrough Honda Equipment

Keith Mitchell had never won on the PGA Tour, the Web.com Tour or the PGA Tour Latinoamerica before Sunday at the Honda Classic, but he did so in impressive style.

Entering the final round one shot behind Wyndham Clark, Mitchell fired a final round 3-under par 67 to shoot 9-under par for the week, overtaking the likes of Brooks Koepka and Rickie Fowler who had both posted 8-under par.

Here are the clubs the Mizuno staffer used to capture the biggest victory of his life.

What’s In His Bag

Driver: Mizuno ST190 (9.5°; Project X HZRDUS T1100 shaft)

3-Wood: Titleist 917F2 (16.5°; Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue 90X shaft)

5-Wood: Titleist TS2 (21°; Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue 90X shaft)

Irons: Mizuno MP-18 (4-PW; True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts)

Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM7 (50°, 54°; True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shafts)

Titleist Vokey Proto 60V (59°; True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shaft)

Putter: TaylorMade Spider X

Golf Ball: Titleist Pro V1

Most Valuable Club: TaylorMade Spider X

Mitchell entered the Honda Classic ranked 218th in strokes gained: putting on the season. After putting the Spider X in the bag, Mitchell picked up nearly a stroke on the field average, to go along with some exquisite ball striking that placed him at the top of the board in strokes gained: tee to green

However, it was the TaylorMade Spider X that was on fire down the stretch. Mitchell holed birdie putts of 11 feet, 17 feet, 4 feet and the clincher on the 72nd hole, a 15’6″ putt to seal it.
