Adam Hadwin broke through to win the Valspar Championship, holding off a charging Patrick Cantlay at Innisbrook’s Resort’s Copperhead Course. The Canadian shot rounds of 68-64-67-71 to win by a stroke.

Hadwin is known as an exceptional putter, but his approach game was above average at Copperhead. Using Callaway’s MB1 irons, Hadwin ranked second in the field in strokes gained: approach to the green picking up more than eight strokes on the field average. Of course, when he reached the green, his putting was exceptional — he picked up 6.881 strokes on the field on the greens.
