Hideki Matsuyama defended his Waste Management Phoenix Open crown by besting Webb Simpson in a four-hole playoff of Super Bowl Sunday. Matsuyama shot rounds of 65-68-68-66 to post 17-under par. He birdied the fourth playoff to win.
