Matsuyama’s runaway victory was done in typical Hideki fashion: exceptional ball striking. The Japanese superstar led the field in greens in regulation, strokes gained: around the green, strokes gained: tee to green and strokes gained: total. He also placed a respectable 15th in strokes gained: putting, which was more than enough to capture his second WGC win of his career.
