Jhonattan Vegas defended his title at the RBC Canadian Open in dramatic fashion, coming from three shots back in the final round to force a playoff with Charley Hoffman. Vegas birdied the first playoff to win. He shot rounds of 66-69-67-65.

As PGATour.com’s Jonathan Wall pointed out, Vegas put the Mizuno MP-4 blades back in the bag this week after missing five consecutive cuts. The old clubs did wonders as Vegas picked up more than seven strokes against the field average approaching the green. He also finished the week tied for first in strokes gained: tee to green.
