The Web.com Tour kicked off their 2017 campaign in unorthodox fashion on a Sunday in the Bahamas. While at the time the decision seemed like a good idea, after the weather they experienced, they will probably want to reconsider moving forward. Heavy rain, but mostly wind reaching speeds in excess of close to 40 MPH, wreaked havoc on the tropical island making it miserable for the players. However, play wasn’t called due to weather, but instead darkness at the end of the day.
Th best score posted on the day at the Great Exuma Classic was from Tom Lovelady who shot a “lights-out” round of even-par 72. The next best score posted was a 74, followed by a group of five at 76. Three players didn’t even break 90! Remember, these guys are still professionals!
