We’ve all been there: your ball has disobeyed you, and now it must pay. You’re going to send this ball into the next century — or at least the nearest lake — and then… whiff.
Lee Westwood had enough of his Titleist earlier this week at the Turkish Airlines Open following a double bogey on the 10th hole. After two tries at depositing the offending ball in the lake, its elusiveness was enough to earn it a trip to the next tee in the Englishman’s pocket.
The whole thing almost makes you appreciate those trick shot artists who snipe balls out of the air with little difficulty. Almost.
