A-Rod Suspended: Where Should He Play Golf This Season?

Now that we know New York Yankees third-baseman Alex Rodriguez will be suspended throughout the 2014 baseball season (162 games total), he’s going to have a bunch of free time on his hands. What better way to spend that time than by working on his golf game.

Here is a short list of golf courses around Yankee Stadium and his hometown of Miami where A-Rod can spend the Spring and Summer months.

Pelham Country Club
If A-Rod is looking to stay in the New York area, he might want to try the private Pelham Country Club in Pelham Manor, NY. Located about 8 miles from Yankee Stadium, this course features bent grass fairways, greens, and steroids are allowed (I think).

Clearview Park Golf Course

A more public option might be Clearview Golf Course, located 9 miles from the stadium in Bayside. Rodriguez might not be too comfortable in the public eye right away, but this whole suspension thing should be boring by June.

Dunwoodie Golf Course
Just a short drive down I-87 will land you in Yonkers, home of Dunwoodie Golf Course. This place looks like your typical municipal course, so A-Rod should have no problem finding a foursome.

Trump National Doral Miami

Shifting gears back toward his hometown of Miami, A-Rod is sure to find a welcome committee at Trump National Doral. He’ll also have all the amenities a struggling, scandal-stricken professional athlete could want.

Miami Beach Golf Club
Home of the Jim McLean Golf Academy, this golfing gem of Miami Beach should whet A-Rod’s golf palette quite nicely.
