After his Oklahoma City Thunder was crushed Monday night by the San Antonio Spurs, 122-105, you couldn’t fault Kevin Durant for being a little peeved. That obviously wasn’t the way OKC wanted to get the Western Conference finals underway.
But upon leaving the arena, there was the newly-crowned NBA MVP and his All-Star teammate, Russell Westbrook, posing for a group shot with Jason Dufner and his wife, Amanda, along with their friend, Adam Harrington:

The Dufners hung with Durant in San Antonio prior to the series as well:

Of course, this all comes after Dufner sported a couple pairs of KD’s signature sneakers around Augusta National prior to the Masters, and even received a shout-out from the hoopster …

We’re not sure where or how this friendship started, but let’s hope it moves from the basketball court to the golf course this summer. After all, Durant is boys with Bubba Watson, too. How great would it be to see Durant towering over the rest of a golf gallery?
He hopes to be busy with the NBA Finals during the week of June 12-15, when the U.S. Open will take place. But Durant’s schedule should be open for the golf season’s final major, the PGA Championship Aug. 7-10. His boy Dufner will be the defending champ at that event.
