The week’s first winner has been crowned at the Waste Management Phoenix Open — and it’s not who you think it is.
With the ever-popular Wednesday pro-am comes the annual “Shot at Glory” contest on the par-3 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale, which gives amateur participants a chance to win $1 million by making an ace (or a lesser sum for hitting it closest to the pin) at the world famous stadium hole.
Former NFL star Tim Tebow, who stuck his tee shot to — to just over 11 feet — was the champ, winning $40,000 for the Tim Tebow Foundation.

Tebow walked away with the top prize, but there were plenty of other stars who took their cuts — Old Tom Morris, for instance:

Country music star Jake Owen took a cut:
As did Lady Antebellum star Chris Kelley:
Dr. J took his shot at glory, though judging by the look on his face, the shot probably wasn’t too glorious:

The Phoenix Suns cheerleaders didn’t hit any shots, but there were on hand to cheer on Suns front office members who did:

With another successful Shot at Glory in the books, now it’s the pros’ turn to tackle the 16th and all that comes with it.
