Jack Nicklaus is pumped for 2014. More specifically, he’s excited for Monday night.
The greatest golfer ever got to catch up with his big grandson, Nick O’Leary, over the holidays. The Florida State tight end snapped a photo with grandpa and grandma before heading back to campus and preparing for his team’s national title game against Auburn.

Grandpa (or the people who work for grandpa) posted a photo of the proud family to Instagram on Wednesday. The caption read:
What’s Jack looking forward to most this year? “I won’t have to wait long for that—Monday and the BCS Championship Game, and hopefully a Florida State win and national title. That would be a good way to start the year for our family. From there, I will just let the year play out and enjoy it as it comes.” The Golden Bear is one proud grandfather of FSU tight end Nick O’Leary, pictured here with “Mimi” and “Peepaw” this Christmas. #fsu #seminoles #golf #football
Most every grandparent beams when they get to spend time with the grandkids, but the Nicklaus’ are especially grateful when they have O’Leary standing right next to them. He was in a terrifying motorcycle crash over the summer, but walked away without any major injuries.
Now he’s hoping to get FSU its first national title since 1999.
