A Common Mistake Made In The Backswing

So there’s a big idea about the backswing that we have to load into the right leg to deliver power through impact. The problem with that is when I load into the right leg, my right hip is going to get outside my right foot and I don’t have any source of energy to propel or create speed with the clubhead towards my target. We’re going to eliminate the ability to load into that right leg by how we set up. We’re going to get set up, take that right foot way off the golf ball, and get on our toes so there’s very little weight on our toe. Now I want you to make a nice full swing. This is going to get your pelvis to rotate more in the backswing. You’re not going to load that right leg and then you can deliver more speed and energy through impact.
