When dealing with a clubface that has too much variance, there are many ways to solve this problem but not all of them are efficient. One of the key moves that every good ball striker possesses is what I call the “motorcycle” move. This is simply the LEAD wrist moving towards flexion (or bowed) starting at the top of the backswing, like revving a motorcycle in reverse. There are many top of backswings that can work but this move is a game changer for the average golfer and something that can be trained.
