When you need to hit a recovery shot around some trees, remember “the face sends it and the path bends it.” We’re going to use that information to get back into position up near the green.

Knowing that the face sends it, aim the clubface to the left of the target to dictate the shot’s start line, and using the path bends it, you’re going to swing out-to-in to create a fading ball flight. The more your path goes to the left as the face stays to the right, you’ll be able to hit a controlled fade.
