One of the most-asked questions I get as a golf instructor is, ‘how do I get my range swing to the golf course?’ The answer is a solid pre-shot routine.
Start from behind the golf ball, which is the most advantageous place to align to your target.
In the cognitive area behind the ball, you need to ask yourself two questions:
- Where is my target?
- How am I going to get there?
After you’ve picked your target and decided on your shot shape, take a few small, slow swings in which you can feel the shot you’re trying to hit. Entering the action box, you want to square your clubface to your target, set your feet, waggle a few times and pull the trigger.
