How your hand path moves up and back down has a huge impact on how solidly you strike the golf ball. Setting a cone roughly three feet behind the golf ball, this will give you immediate feedback on how you move the handle to the top of the swing.

Typically, golfers tend to move the handle outside, creating a lot of room between your club and the body, which triggers a bunch of different compensations, leading to inconsistent contact. We want to see the handle move back more inside, which allows you to get deeper into the swing earlier, promoting a more consistent hand path throughout the swing.
