A common misconception seen on my lesson tee is a misunderstanding of when you should have width in your golf swing. Most people try to be wide early, and they collapse or get narrow late.

In the golf swing, we would rather be narrow early and wide late. This allows a better opportunity to release the ball on plane because if you’re narrow late, you tend to throw the club to catch back up.
