2025 PGA Teacher of the Year Jason Baile shares a go-to option for players who need to find the fairway under pressure. Working alongside pro Davis Lamb—who typically plays a high draw—Baile explains how they adjust when accuracy takes priority over distance.

The setup is simple but effective. Tee the ball slightly lower and open your baseline just left of the target, allowing your chest, shoulders, and feet to aim slightly left. From there, make your normal swing along that body line. The result is a lower launch with a gentle cut that’s easier to control.

While you may sacrifice a bit of distance, the payoff is more fairways hit. Baile recommends building your own version of a fairway finder with small setup tweaks like tee height and alignment—smart, strategic changes that help you stay in play when it matters most.
