Don’t Be Intimidated By High Bunker Lips

A lot of people feel very intimidated by deep bunkers and they try to do unnecessary things to escape this unusual predicament. I like to keep it simple.

If we take a string and run it from where our ball is sitting to the top of lip, more often than not that angle is less than the degree of our sand wedge. With that in mind, take your stance, lean left and be confident in the loft on your wedge to get the ball up in the air and over the lip of the bunker.
