For those of you who struggle with distance control, here’s a great drill that you can work on at home. Take five golf balls and start with shorter putts, then make longer and longer putts till you get the right speed. You should feel the distance of the backswing and the speed of the putter increase with each putt.

When you use this drill, you get a feel of what you need to do on short putts, medium putts, and long putts. This will help you eliminate 3-putts and you might even make a few long putts.
