One of the leading causes of hitting the ball off of the hosel is when your pressure moves towards your toes. There are 3 places to check when this happens: Address, takeaway or early transition. Any of these 3 can cause hosel rockets to occur. Starting with the pressure under the arches, moving into the trail heel at the top of the swing and early transition is the key and the best way to train this feel is to hit balls with a pool noodle under the arches. Make sure you stay on the backside of the noodle for best results.
