All too often with wedges, amateur players straighten their right arm with their wedges, which changes the club’s arc width and results in fat shots and inconsistent strikes. To get a good feel for maintaining your arc, let the rate of your torso rotation control the clubface as well as your distance.
During your backswing, get the club up and feel like it’s on the seam of your shirt. From there, rotate through making sure you keep your right arm on the side of the shirt to let your body square up the face of the club, not independent hand motion.
