In golf, more times than not the lie we have requires us to make an adjustment. That’s the beauty of the game, it challenges our creativity and shot-making.

A simple strategy for a bad lie where the ball is sitting down around the green is to raise the handle and get the heel of the club off the ground. This will cause less of the wedge to interact with the grass and ground, creating cleaner contact and a solid strike even from a poor lie.
