Maybe you need to go over a tree, or you just want it to land softer on the green, knowing how to hit your irons higher can be helpful.

Simply put, whatever your normal ball position is, by moving it forward in your stance, you’re effectively adding more loft to your club. The other thing you can do is add a little more tilt to your body.

You don’t want to hit the ball and fall away from the target – that will cause you to thin it or chunk it.
