Most players don’t like practicing into the wind its magnifies their misses. The ball’s axis tilts as it spins, and the wind exacerbates that sidespin sending hooks and slices farther offline. Conversely, downwind the ball gets knocked off its axis less, straightening out your ball flight.

The next time you’re out playing in the wind, take into account the wind direction and adjust your shot selection accordingly.
