For most every shot I play, set up and ball position stays extremely simple. I set up square and play the ball from middle to forward to land the club shallow. To keep it simple, whether I’m hitting a low shot or a high shot, I stand square this ball position. It should look like it’s just barely ahead of middle, like the clubs in the middle and the balls ahead of that, and then when I hit a little pitch it’s easy to land in the club shallow, make solid contact, and hit consistent chip shots.
