One of the keys to more consistent putting is creating that pendulum action you’ve probably heard about it, and there are a couple of simple drills that can help you release the tension in your arm and wrist joints for a smoother, freer stroke.

Practice bending your hand back as far as you can before returning it to the middle, using the wrist as a hinge. It gives you the desired wrist action for proper pendulum motion with the putter. Another useful exercise involves strengthening your grip and focusing on keeping your arm joints loose, resulting in a more fluid stroke.
