If you are a tour player you find yourself needing to put a lot of spin on your chip shots because of the firm fast green conditions. Even if you are not a tour player there are times in a round where you are short sided and you do not have much green to work with to stop your ball. This requires you to put spin on the ball and the proper set adjustments are needed to allow this to happen. Understanding how to create a soft landing spinning chip will be a much welcomed tool in your short game toolbox.
