A good wind up or coil in the backswing is needed to generate club head speed in the swing. Learning to rotate our hips allows our shoulders to make a full wind up and creates the proper storing of energy. If we do not rotate our hips in the backswing we can expect several compensations like breaking down our lead arm, losing spine angle, and swaying off the ball. Get those hips involved in the backswing and improve your swing today!
