Here are three easy adjustments to hit your ball out of the rough for those times that it’s sitting okay, but not great.

First, open your clubface before you take your grip. Second, open your stance a little bit. And third, firm up your wrists so that if the club gets caught you can still get through the grass.

When setting up for this shot, understand that this ball will come out with less backswing. Take that into account when choosing your club.
