We’re always trying to square the face in the golf swing, so it’s very important to understand where the center of gravity is in the clubhead. It is NOT in line with the shaft, it’s somewhere in the center, what we typically think of as the sweet spot.
Knowing where the center of gravity is in a golf club helps you to be able to apply and create force at the right spot in the club, which again, is not directly down the shaft line.
