The hip movement in a golf swing is quite simple: you want to rotate, not slide. My trail hip will go towards the target as I rotate.

When I do that, the pressure goes into the inside of the trail heel, which allows me to drive forward into the golf ball.

Similarly, through the transition and into impact, your trail hip will work back around your body and once again move towards your target creating a beautifully compressed golf ball.
