There’s nothing more frustrating than playing a hole nicely, getting yourself into position and then missing a short putt. The theme of this will be a commitment to the line. When we’re reading a putt, we’re going to section the cup off mentally and then committing ourselves and our routine to that specific spot.

Whatever your process is for aiming, whether it’s with a line or not, your process will take you to that specific spot you’ve selected.

Focussing on the process throughout the stroke, once you know the outcome, you can diagnose whether a miss is the result of poor technique or poor green reading.
